1600A MDA with Test Sockets

Mains Distribution Assembly manufactured in accordance with BS EN 61439-4 designed for arduous outdoor installations. The assembly incorporates Test Sockets to facilitate safer on-site testing.

Enclosure
Robust sheet steel enclosure of seam welded construction, providing protection to IP44. The enclosure is free-standing, double-sided and incorporates a projecting rain roof, side hinged padlockable doors and removable gland plates for incoming and outgoing cables. A fully segregated compartment is provided for the MCB pan assembly. The enclosure is protected against corrosion by a high quality, outdoor finishing system comprising of a zinc phosphate pre-treatment followed by polyester powder coating, colour bright red (Vermilion, RAL 2002).
Enclosure dimensions: 1770H x 2136W x 824D mm (ground clearance 300mm).

Stand Extension
A stand extension, part number S140308SE, is available to increase the ground clearance to 900mm. The stand extension is to be ordered as a separate item.

Incoming Terminals
Fitted with a separate incoming termination chamber complete with heavy duty copper bar terminals, to enable large cross section cables to be terminated.

Incomer
Fitted a 1600A 4P MCCB, padlockable in the OFF position. The MCCB can be adjusted on site from 1600A to 640A.

Bus Bars
Fitted a bus bar system with a short circuit rating of 50 kA, based on our ASTA certified assembly.

Distribution
1 no. 800A 4P MCCB with variable Type A RCD protection. The MCCB can be adjusted on site from 800A to 320A.
1 no. 630A 4P MCCB with variable Type A RCD protection. The MCCB can be adjusted on site from 630A to 252A.
2 no. 400A 4P MCCBs each with variable Type A RCD protection. The MCCBs can be adjusted on site from 400A to 160A.
2 no. 250A 4P MCCBs each with variable Type A RCD protection. The MCCBs can be adjusted on site from 250A to 100A.
1 no. 160A 4P MCCB with variable Type A RCD protection. The MCCB can be adjusted on site from 160A to 64A.
1 no. 160A 4P MCCB with variable Type A RCD feeding an integral 12W pan assembly, which is mounted within a segregated compartment.
There are 2 no. spare MCCB ways rated at up to 250A or 1 no. way rated at 400A or 630A.

Test Sockets
In the incoming compartment, fitted with 5 no. 4.0mm panel mounted test sockets connected to the supply side of the incoming MCCB.
In each outgoing compartment, 2 no. 4.0mm panel mounted test sockets are connected to the load side of each MCCB / RCD and there is a common earth socket.
All test sockets are fixed in position and remain in-situ when inset plates are removed. They are protected by BS88 fuses.
