125A MDA with Incoming Switch & Time Clock

Mains Distribution Assembly with Time Clock Control, manufactured in accordance with BS EN 61439-4, designed for arduous outdoor installations.
The assembly can be used to control the supplies to Site Transformers, automatically. Up to six feeds can supply transformers dedicated to supplying non-emergency lighting, which can be switched ON and OFF at pre-set times. Two feeds (or more if the contactors are by-passed) can supply transformers dedicated to supplying emergency lighting, which should be left ON permanently to avoid damaging batteries.

Enclosure
Robust sheet steel enclosure of seam welded construction providing protection to IP54. The enclosure incorporates a projecting rain roof, side hinged padlockable door and removable gland plates for incoming and outgoing cables. The enclosure is protected against corrosion by a high quality, outdoor finishing system comprising of a zinc phosphate pre-treatment followed by polyester powder coating, colour bright red (Vermilion, RAL 2002). The enclosure is wall mounting and an optional, purpose built stand is available for free-standing applications. The distribution gland plate incorporates 20 and 25 mm knock-outs.

Distribution / Control
Fitted an 8 way TP MCB pan assembly complete with 8 no. 32A TP Type “D” MCBs. 6 no. MCBs feed 40A TP contactors, which are controlled by a common programmable time clock (the time clock has a 72 hour battery back-up). Five of the contactors have individual timers to prevent simultaneous closure of all six circuits, to avert the risk of multiple transformers fed from the MDA from being energised simultaneously (and tripping the supply MCCB). An ON-OFF-AUTO switch is incorporated as are terminals for remote override.
